In the Selfless and Dedicated Service to Girls Education by Sri Ramakrishna Math since 1962
Sri Ramakrishna Math Vivekananda Centenary Girls Higher Secondary School was started in commemoration of the Centenary Celebrations of Swami Vivekananda on 19th July 1962 by Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai. The current strength of the school is 800 and most of them are from the socio-economically deprived Mint area in North Chennai and the Math is successfully helping them join the mainstream. In 2008, the school was upgraded to Higher Secondary School and provided with all facilities including a fully equipped lab and computers.

Out of 109 students who appeared for the Xth standard examinations, 102 students passed the exams. Total pass percentage 94%.
Out of 151 students who appeared for the XIIth standard examinations, 146 students passed the exams. Total pass percentage 97%.
